We will be having a mass work day next Saturday the 19th of August. Plan on meeting at 0930 in the lower field (2nd entrance). Bring your lopers, saws, chainsaws, pruners, machetes, etc......and your bikes. We will be clearing sections, entry and exit to sections and the entry road. And then we'll test ride the sections.

Directions:

From I-85 South (south of the Atlanta airport) take exit 47. Turn right at the bottom of the ramp onto Ga 34, go .6 miles to the 3rd light and turn right onto Ga 34 bypass. (If northbound on I-85 turn left at the bottom of the ramp and go .7 miles and 4 lights.) Go 5.5 miles and turn left. Go .1 mile to stop sign and turn left onto Welcome road. Go 9.6 miles and turn right on Glover Pond Rd (dirt road). (Welcome changes to Handy at the 1st stop sign and then to Martin Girls at the 2nd stop sign.) Go 1.1 miles to the entrance, dirt road after the concrete driveway, and turn left. You're there.

Another , perhaps easier for some, direction would be like you said, to take exit 47 and go west on hwy 34 (Bullsboro) to 34 bypass (Millard farmer Industrail Blvd). But then instead of getting on Welcome rd (easy to miss) stay straight on the bypass untill you come to the 4-way stop at the intersection of Hwy 34 (Franklin Hwy) and go right. You can then stay straight until you get to the Powers Crossroads area and turn right on Thomas Powers Rd. (BP station on corner). Stay straight on Thomas Powers untill you reach the stop sign, then take a left on Martin Girls and then right on Glover Pond Rd. This direction is a little less scenic but I believe it's a little more direct and quicker.
