Although the snow and ice has gone from the main roads the road into the Ridge riding area is covered in ice. You can get in but can't get out. Presently Chad and Tim and Randy are stuck! Mark.

WELL WE MADE IT OUT !!! BUT THE WOODS ARE SO SNOW AND ICE COVERED , THAT EVEN RIDING THE LOOP WAS NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE ... WE HAD TO PUSH UP MANY HILLS THAT ARE NOTHING AT ALL WHEN DRY... IF YOU HAVE READ THIS PLEASE CALL ANYONE THAT YOU KNOW WHO WAS THINKING OF ATTENDING AND LET THEM KNOW OF THE CANCELLATION... WE WILL TRY TO RESUME IN TWO WEEKS... WEATHER PERMITTING. PS . I bought your old sherco 50 from a guy in ATL about 6 mo. ago. Great little bike, my little one LOVES it... Hopefully when he outgrows it someone else in the STRA family needs it for their budding champ !!

... That little 50 has quite a history. It was provided to the STRA for the youth competitions as a demo/loaner for Alan Bechard back in 2001 or so. My son took over as youth comp. director from Alan in about '04 I think, and we hauled that little bike all over the southeast for many years. There have been many kids introduced to trials competition on that very bike. It was a static display at a couple of World of Wheels motorcycle shows in Atlanta too. I believe that foot brake was THE prototype and was fabbed by Alan hisself.

Anyway, Ryan called one day and said he would like to have it back at RYP. I made him an offer and we got to keep it.

We don't currently own any trials bikes save for our Honda TLR 200 that Ian is riding to his job since the weather has improved.

We are all wrapped up into whitewater kayaking now, and have alredy had nearly a dozen river days since New Years Day.

We miss the STRA family and the fellowship at the events. You have associated yourself with a fine bunch of people.

Perhaps we will make a trials comeback one day!
