As the STRA VP let me say:

Thanks to all who made the Tennessee nationals such a big success!
I want to especially thank those who helped me run the gate. I know there were folks who pitched in Friday before I arrived. All the help is truly appreciated!!!

All in all, I would say the event was exceptional. The weather was perfect, the sections spot-on, Jeff organized a great observer crew, the BBQ was excellent, the time limit was not a problem, scoring was well run and never was heard a discouraging word.

The STRA did another outstanding job we can all be very proud of. Thanks again to all who contributed to the success of this terrific event!

Brock

Thanks Brock, for jumping in there and saying what I should have said earlier. An NATC national is a big undertaking. Many people spent a lot of time to make it so successful. The work actually started in February with the work days, and although I cut out just after the award ceremony on Sunday, I am sure the work continued into this week.

I was there for the first work weekend and the last. When we quit working on Sunday of the last work day, a whole lot of work remained. The ribbon had not even arrived. Dan Brown and his crew by far carried the majority of the burden. They worked every work weekend and then finished it up themselves. The LeRiche brothers (aka "the lads") also did a lot of the work.

To everyone who helped in even a small way, thank you very much. To those who worked hard and are not even riders, like Catherine Bedley & Nancy Heilemann, who kept score, a very big thank you! To the wives who helped check, like Nancy Godwin, Brit Cox, Linda Trimble, and others, a big thank you!

In case some of our newer members may not know, the STRA is one of the top trials clubs in the country. You could make a good case that it is the best. And one of the main reasons is that we have so many people who are willing to jump in and help in a serious way and to stick it out until it is done right. Thank you all!

-Ron
