Off to 1st Nat’l Enduro for ’08 season this weekend in South Carolina. http://www.sermaclub.com Any other trials riders among the 600 entries?

STRA friends attending this event, please come by the official GasGas pits to say “hi”, check out the bikes, etc. Jim Senecal (Pro), Billy Burns (200 A) and myself (+50 A) are hoping to start the year off right with wins in our respective classes!

Curt, I am looking to try an EnduroCross event this year. Do you know who is sanctioning those in the southeast?

Best of luck to you!!!!

Steve – thanks for the well wishes, look forward to seeing you and family around Youth Natl’s time.

Tom McNeal – visited with Chad Kimbrell at Aiken Motorcycles Saturday. He’ll let us know about upcoming Endurocross events in S.E.

Tom Deal – next enduro for us is Nat’l in GA Feb 24. You might as well jump right into Natl’s and show ‘um what a good trials rider can do in the woods! AMA Nat’l schedule at - http://www.nationalenduro.com/Home.html

Race Report – well, it didn’t go quite as well as hoped for me. Freak thing happened in the first woods section – ignition wire fell off the coil and bike stopped. Took way too long to diagnose the problem and spent the rest of the event trying to catch up. Finished 9th (out of 22) in +50 A. Russell Bobbitt (trains on a GasGas trials bike at TTC) battled for the lead in PRO class and was just edged out by Mike Lafferty. Thanks to all who stopped by the GasGas pits to say hello. Trials Competition’s Shan Moore covered the event for Cycle News – look for his article in an upcoming issue.

Good ride Curt!
I always hated getting behind early, you ride your but off all day and don't get to take any breaks.
