Hi gang,
I just thought I would throw my e mail out there
in case anyone has a problem with the scores. Please check your score, your name spelling, the bike you ride, your state, and your class.
Let me know if there are errors or updates needed.

Thanks,
Brian brianlrobison (at sign) gmail.com

Hi Paul,
Yes, but I need the workers first to add the points. If someone works 2 events they will get 30 points so that would need to be added.

Brian,
I thought if we saw the scores, we would know if we were scored for working.
Aaron and I have been riding the sorcs.net harescrambles series. They update the points and post scores a couple of days after the event. One of the guys at the shop checks his placing even if he misses a round. He has been to a couple of events just to stay up in the points.
Maybe knowing where we stand would motivate us to ride more events.

OK,
I've put the scores together without the workers points. I'll fix that part when I get the lists of workers of the events. BTW,I've got the list from the Spring Splash.

Paul: I very much appreciate your point on timely posting of championship standings and have been trying to help coordinate that for years. There are some issues that have not been easy to resolve. The Scorekeeper cannot record work credits when the Promoters do not provide them. It looks like only 2 of the 6 rounds have submitted a worker list to date. *** PROMOTERS of ROUNDS 1 - 4: please get your worker lists to Brian ***
His email address is: fisa_blr@bellsouth.net

Also, there is only 1 person with access to the STRA website, so the chain of events that has to take place is 1) Promoters send results and worker lists to Scorekeeper, 2) Scorekeeper makes updates to points table and emails to Webmaster, 3) Webmaster posts on STRA site.
We are still stuck on step 1 months after the events were complete.
I have been on both sides of the fence and it is usually the last thing on a Promoter's mind to send in the paperwork after working like crazy to make the event happen. If you have promoted an event, you can appreciate the comment. In any event, hopefully this followup with past and future Promoters will allow us to get back on track and post championship standings soon after each event is complete.

If anyone needs help, needs to snail-mail the worker credits or anything else, please let me know.

Brock

Brock,
Yeah, I know the drill. I was hoping to promote a change to the system, after all we're not dealing with state secrets. I would think that in this day and time it would be permissable for more than one person to have access to the website, so it could be kept up to date. If a rider doesn't see their series points until final awards, then the STRA and the event promoters are missing a very powerful tool to encourage members to ride. No points were posted last year until two weeks before the banquet.

I am simply poking the bear, in hopes of changing the STRA system of information publishing. I realize there is the desire to make the information as accurate as possible, but again since we are not publishing the windtalker code. Lets put some results up even if they are not complete. Then adjust and correct the information flow as needed.

Workers! Please add what class you ride, it would be a big help. Rick, maybe we can add this to the Promoters sheet? The Promoters need to add the class they ride too.

If it's OK, I'll try to use this thread for some corrections.

Brian,
That looks great! Thanks!

I asked Sam if he had sent in the trackrock worker credits, Shelby said she had sent them to you some time ago. I will ask her to send them again.
