Rick;
I really don't mind criticizm, or advice... whichever. I have extremely thick skin, so I promise not to be offended by anything anyone posts here on this thread. I also vow to carefully consider any suggestions given here either to me personaly, or to this ministry, and will respond with love and compassion, just as my Savior did when He walked this very earth. I just want you to know that I am cool with your opinions and thoughts, and I want to thank you for being one of the most regular contributors to this thread! God bless y'all, those that attend our event services, those that share thoughts via posts, those that just look in, and those that pray for this ministry. Remember too, God loves EVERYONE equally, I believe, just as His word tells us. Thank you, God, for your written word! A thought on the bible, by the way; Bible vs Cell Phone; What if we treated the Bible like we treat our cell phones? What if we carried the Bible in our pockets? What if we turned back to get it if we forgot it? What if we flipped or scrolled through it several times every day? What if we used it to receive messages? What if we treated it like we could not get by without it? What if we gave it as a gift? What if we used it as we traveled? What if we used it in case of emergency? Be blessed, and peace out! ...I Corinthians 1:18 NKJV |

... we had a gathering at the TTC Spring Splash Sunday morning at 8:30am, and my counter was at home recovering from his surgery. He is fine now, back to work and mean as ever! So, I am guessing there were a dozen and a half in attendance. The good Word was out of the Book of Matthew, 18th Chapter, about forgiveness. According to the Bible, if you can't love you fellow man, then you can't love God.
Peace out, and see y'all in Lenior City this weekend. This message has been edited. Last edited by: Jeff Geisen, ...I Corinthians 1:18 NKJV |

I am slackin'... I have not even reported on the Knoxville TFC Service. We had a decent sized attendance, about 25 if I remember correctly. The hosts were Christians, and the concessions helped a local ministry. The spaghetti & meatball supper the ladies put on Saturday night was some of the best food I have ever enjoyed at a trial.
I had a scheduling conflict with the Nationals, and was up the road in Manchester that weekend doing some mission work with my daughter & granddaughter at a little music festival that happens every year up there in early June. I missed Brock's event due to a work related training/conference that conflicted with the "new date" for Shoooting Creek. I am looking forward to Cornelia, and hope to see y'all there if nothing unforseen happens. Be blessed! ...I Corinthians 1:18 NKJV |

... we gathered in Cornelia Sunday morning, with 13 in attendance.
Looking forward to a cool morning service at the Trials Training Center this month. For those of you that pray, lift Mark Sturtavant and his wife, they are dealing with a serious health challenge as I write this. Y'all take care, and be blessed. ...I Corinthians 1:18 NKJV |

The 58K was a joy to attend, classic fall weather. My grandson took a spill before the youth trial Saturday evening and the bar end punched him in the mouth. Just soft tissue damage, his teeth survived intact, he was too shook to ride his event though. He did compete Sunday and finished.
We had 19 gather at the Service Sunday morning, and studied Jesus' Sermon on the Mount. I had several requests for prayer; Glenn McNeil had a touch of heart trouble, but was not admitted to the area hospital. Rick Caron lost his wife to a sudden illness, remember to lift this young father in your prayers, his home and his family as well. I also was told that Mrs. Sturtavant has been healed of her cancer, and I praise God for that news. I will see y'all soon in Gadsden, and till then pray often and read & study God's word! ...I Corinthians 1:18 NKJV |

Thank you Jeff for you very kind words. It comforts me to know that the STRA family is thinking about me. I just donated Sharons entire Barbie Doll Collection to the childrens hosiptal, I know she would have wanted this. She was a very giving person. It seems like such a big empty house now. God is helping me thru this, showing me what she would have wanted me to do.
Thanks again. Rick Caron |

I pray y'all are well today, and that your are being prayerful and reading God's word daily.
I wish to share this experience with y'all; I had an opportunity to drive my 6 year-old granddaughter to school this morning since her mom is out of town. I always pray before we set out, and when I asked her if she or I would pray this morning, she opted to lead. We have all heard the old cliche' out of the mouths of babes. Acacia included in her prayer "if you would let the rain come back, we would like that Lord". Is it not wondrous that God is giving us all in certain portions of the southeast such a powerful undeniable demonstration of His plan by by holding back the rain in such a dramatic way for so long a period? Also God is giving us all an opportunity to witness to others during the inevitable drought conversations we become involved in each day how that we as His followers trust His will and His wisdom while we experience this epic drought. I have found more than ever, He is answering my prayers as usual, even my prayers for rain, in one of the four ways He replies to all of the requests I take to Him; 1 Yes (my personal fave) 2 No (when He knows I am asking for the wrong thing, or for the wrong reason) 3 Not yet (His time, not ours) 4 That is not in My plan for you (Thank you for the list Paul Crowder!) Do your best, and be blessed. ...I Corinthians 1:18 NKJV |

Ian reminded me yesterday during lunch that I am getting a bit long winded at the TFC Services lately.
Point taken, son. I promise to try more than ever to be a good steward with the time y'all give me to teach God's word on Sunday morning. Ian has volunteered to keep time, and I promise 20 minutes tops for the Services! ...I Corinthians 1:18 NKJV |

The Gadsden service was well attended with 18 present on a cool & crisp fall morning.
I was able to get my friend John to come over and prepare a nice hot breakfast "buffet" of sorts, we enjoyed fresh baked buscuits with thick sugar cured bacon or country ham, and a breakfast cassarole prepared Sunday morning with eggs, link saugage and hashbrown potatoes, and orange or apple juice & coffee. Hopefully, John will make all the modern events next year and I will provide a hot breakfast before the services. Don't forget to vote for the most improved rider and event of the year. Have yourself a blessed day! ...I Corinthians 1:18 NKJV |

... alright, all you prayer wariors, I challenge you to pray diligently for John and Nancy Godwin.
Please lift up Nancy in your devotions, and if you can, right when you read this, pray that she can overcome breast cancer surgery this very morning. Also, if God wills, allow Nacy a similar reprieve from cancer that Mark's wife received a couple of months ago. Let's get on this! ...I Corinthians 1:18 NKJV |

To all,
We received the pathology report from Nancy’s surgery yesterday and it was negative! As you may imagine we are tremendously relieved. Though we do have a long way to go towards full recovery this will make it much more bearable. Many thanks for all your support and prayers, we greatly appreciate them. We consider ourselves very fortunate to have friends such as you. John |

... we missed the Carrolton event, my grandsons were suffering from poison ivy exposure, and Ian is working weekends. I plan on being at the TTC this weekend, and leading the service as usual, so listen for the siren (sireen) at about 8:20am central Sunday morning.
