US National Champ Pat Smage (Sherco) posted 2-1 results at the Portuguese world rounds and now leads the series after 3 rounds! Check out the coverage on Trials Central http://www.trialscentral.com/ and Pat is #46 in the photo coverage (the kid who never tucks in his jersey).

I got excited about this too and posted a page yesterday about it on the home page asking the trials community to donate to help his run to the championship. (you can still see it here). I took it down after reading the Trials Central forums about the word in the Oklahoma nationals pits is that Patrick will not be returning to the WTC this year because he doesn't really enjoy Europe. I guess that's why he never smiles over there even when standing on top of the podium
