Can anybody tell me where I could get a set of bar risers for my 05 Gas Gas 300 Pro with the Adam Raga style 1-1/8" bar clamps?

They look great. Is the mounting pattern the same as the Raga style fat bar mount? It has a pivot 'hinge' and single bolt to clamp, will these risers work on those as well as the original style bar mounts?

Soup, theres another bolt hidden under the hinge, these v-mar risers come with new bolts and will work fine.Mark.

Thanks, Mark. I was wondering if the bolt pattern in the upper triple clamp was the same as the original non-fat bar design, so it must be. Cool. Those risers look like the ticket.

This sparks another question, one of those bolts under the hinge is loose, but I can't get the allen wrench under the hinge to tighten it (or remove it to install the spacers). The bolt under the hinge on the other clamp is tight.

Any suggestions on how to access the bolt under the hinge?

Soup, The bolt pattern is the same, so to install the risers put the front bolt back in and snug it down, then drive the hinge pin out with a 5mm or 3/16ths flat punch. Put some anti-sieze on the pin and the new bolts when reinstalling. Sometimes the new rear bolt is a little too tall and won't let the hinge down far enough to put the pin back in, grind some off the top, but leave enough to give the allen wrench enough to bite on. I made my own risers when the 05's came out, and they where 20mm tall, and at 6ft 1 I wish they were taller, so I think you should get the tallest ones they make since the bars are so low to begin with. Theres one other way to do this, thats to use the bottom part of the clamps for the conventional GasGas bars, I think Charlie keeps these in stock at TTC. Mark

Alternative thinking....

Mark has forgotten more mechanical knowledge than I will ever have, but here is my 2 cents worth:
To remove the bar clamps, take the front bolt all the way out and with the pressure off, the hinge pin in the rear comes out very easy.

And in terms of risers, I tried a 1/4" riser on a 2007 Pro and found the steering not to my liking. I'm 6 ft even and after removing the riser, found the steering much more solid and the front tire sticks better in turns as well as stays planted better on steep rocks.

Let me clarify a bit, put the front bolt in but not thru the top part of the clamp, this is so if the pin is stuck/ corroded( on a 05 it may be) you won't beat the clamps in a circle trying to drive the pin out. Why I like the high risers is that after I rode all day my back hurt from bending over some far, I gladly trade a little loss of feel in the front end for being able to stand upright the next day. Mark.
