Hard to start Gas Gas

Why is my 300 pro so hard to start?
I have an 05 Gas Gas 300 pro and it starts fine when cold. After I ride it awhile it is almost impossible to restart. Choke on, choke off, throttle open, throttle closed, it doesnt seem to matter.
The only thing that sometimes works is to kick it quickly and repeatedly as if you are building up spark. I bought the bike used early this year and it has been a major PIA the whole time.
Anybody else have an issue like this.

Hey there ! I had the same exact problem (same yr bike,05 300 pro) It was a major PIA. We increased the pilot jet from a 36(?) to a 38 , and have had ZERO hot start problems since(18 mo ago)The guy i bought it from said that was one of the reasons he was selling it !!

move the kick starter one or two splines forward. this will give you more stroke on your kick, then give her hell. that helps alot.
