I'm installing a new kick start shaft and gear on my 05 GG Pro 300. Any tips on how to properly wind the spring and install the assembly?

Or you could go to trialspartsusa from the main gas gas page and see tech bul. sept 19 2008/updated feb 13 2008, almost to the bottom of the page there are photos and print on how to index the new style kick start gear assy. and spring. Mark.
