Does anyone know if this is a good trail and trials bike? Does the 125 have enough power for 190 lb adult?

The SY125 is a great trials bike! Bob Ginder of B&J Racing had the first one to hit the country and his son, Dustin, rode and won several NATC nationals and STRA events in the Expert class.

Bob has made a ton of improvements and performance modifications to the bike. The bike has plenty of power to pull a 190 lb rider; Bob is just a tad bit over that..... Check out the articles/products about the SY on the B&J website (http://www.bjracing.com/sy125f.htm or http://www.bjracing.com/victim.htm. The Tryals Shop website also has a great write-up on the SY.

Haven't we talked on the phone or emailed about a DR350 you've got/had for sale? I may be on brain fade or something but if your the same guy, you've got a 125 scorpa there in Columbia.

hey Duke,

Are you the fellow I met at TNT last weekend? This is John-- my Scorpa SY125 is for sale. It's a fun bike. It was ridden and upgraded by the Ginders Teresa mentioned in the above posts. Email for more info, or if you want to come by and look at it.

John/Duke,
if you guys work out some kinda trade for something, please note that I could use another DR350 for a dual sport rental bike at TTC.

Responders,

You guys are quick responders! Thanks for the info. Harry, your memory is right-on buddy. I sold that DR a while back and i'm in the market for a trials moto. John, also kudos on the memory, we did ride together at TNT and I love your bike, but the new SY-125 4-stroke has me very intriqued. Do you know if we are able to make those street legal here in the states?

Hey Duke,

Not sure on the street legal aspect-

If you're looking for a street legal/dualsport/semi-trials type machine to kick around on might be better off with a Honda reflex perhaps... maybe the Beta Alp 4 stroke (if you can find one), but if you are really considering trials I would absolutely go for a trials specific machine.

I was impressed with your riding at TNT, I hope you pursue it & if interested and get involved- heck I can count the trials riders in our area on one hand, we need to get together and ride!

You are welcome to contact me (email address should be in above post) and come over to look at my SY and have a ride on it, or just to talk trials.

John
