What classes, AMA sactioned, Entry Fees, locations, and I assume you will wait until the STRA schedule is layed out so these will not overlap? Let me know and I can get you some items to give away or raffle off to raise money for your club. Hopefully in 05 Sc will have a club starting to grow!

Hi Darrell and other CTC folks, CAMELOT (Clarksville, TN) will also be kicking off its inagural season this year. Wanted to touch base with you guys and see if we could not swap up events between clubs?
Anyway, look for forth coming posts, and I will give you a call when I remember at a reasonable hour, or see you next week at TTC if nothing else. Till then. Alan Bechard Clarksville,TN 931-551-8129 Home 931-801-7921 Cell, weekends and evening please. trialsalan at wildblue.net |

Al, I talked to Randy some about the same thing.
Maybe we could all meet half way between Clarksvegas and Chattanooga. After we see how the STRA event calendar works out and the Nationals. 2005 might just be the best year yet! Trials every weekend. That will make our wives happy. |

Is CAMELOT or CTC ama sanctioned? If your club has more than I think 5 or 10 members that are ama , you can be a charted club and get some pretty neat benefits. I was wondering so we can get a good base for th SC club.

I have the package at the house to be AMA sanctioned, and at present do not see the benefit of it.
Will pull the AMA sanction and insurance through STRA for the Clarksville two day (assuming that it is approved by STRA) Will look to the STRA to pull the insurance if we host a fun event. Will utilize other clubs events in our area to make a "local" series, such as STRA, MITA, TI, and I hope CTC. By using neighboring events, and hosting a couple of our own, we should be able to string together a 12 event series within three hours of the house. Couple this with the other events I would like to ride,, FTA fun in the Sun, Stoney Lonesome in TI, Dixie Cup in TI, Gadsden and Newnan in STRA and maybe Baraboo this year and the world round if they have it again, several work weekends to make things happen along the way, a weekend school for Camelot with a visiting instructor, Work with Camp Rainbow again and Demo for a boy scout troop in town to get them out to observe for our trial,,,,,, Then possibly another STRA national... That is about as full as I want it. But back to the original thing of being AMA chartered, what benefits are you seeing that I may be overlooking? This sounds like a great upcoming year! We have thrown around the idea of an Atlanta area club for a while, but I have been too busy to put much effort into it. Maybe when the next STRA prez takes over I will have time. Anyway, I got the AMA charter packet a few years back and seriously considered it. But in the end, I think the easiest way is for the local clubs to promote their events as STRA "fun events". This basically means that they would not pay STRA championship points, but could be AMA sanctioned through the STRA. It would cost nothing other than the AMA sanction fee. With a little advertising around the club as an STRA event, you could get a fairly good turn out - probably about half of an STRA champ event. I definitely plan to ride some CTC events next year.
