As I slithered into the parking rink saturday morning, I couldn't help but wonder "how many would show?". I get excited to ride in inclement weather. Not that I do any better, I just don't do any worse. I was pleased to see the hardy group that show'd up to ride. I don't think I heard any complaints about the conditions, other than the cold, besides me. Standing at the bottom of the field on saturday, in the wind, was chilly. But I always enjoy talking to everyone as they come through the section. Sunday I worked the waterfall section six. Gary Holbert said he felt like he was in a "World Round Section". When I got home sunday night my legs almost folded getting out of the truck. What?? Oh yeah, I walked up and down the slick hill with each rider that came through my section. Yep, that'll do it. I'd like to thank everyone that came. Maybe next year we'll have better weather, I mean more riders willing to sacrifice And for the record, I did very little "Work". But I can stand around with the best of them!

Thanks to everyone who helped to put on an excellent event at Trackrock.Special thanks to the landowners,Catherine and crew, and the checkers who braved the elements. Hope to see more vintage bikes and riders at the next event,Carrollton. Regards M R
A tip of my helmet not only to ALL the folks (including many non-riders) who I saw helping clearing, driving stakes, etc. on multiple weekends and who helped out during the rounds as well, but to everyone who bothered to get in their rigs that first morning and actually turn the ignition key and commit to showing up in that tundra. And a special note of appreciation to those riders who complained but little in my section on Sunday (#8, the "Equalizer", as one rider dubbed it), where there were more 5's meted out than any other score that day, and with good reason. It reminded me of the battle of Trafalgar, with all that cannon fodder, had I actually been there.
My new exercise DVD entitled "Aerobic Observing", which was inspired by Sunday's efforts to watch you guys, will be released soon on the Lactic Acid label.

Aaron, Frank a couple of guys from the shop and I rode trackrock this evening. The parking area was almost powder, yet packed. The water was low. Dirt was dry. Aaron rode all of the sportsman sections in the upper half. Even the ones in the creeks. Sundays section one, with the steep drop in, he cleaned first try. Saturdays section one he rode the advanced line. A one on the third try.
