I have not ridden a trials bike for five years and even then only trialed for a year or so in only three events. Am I experienced enough to observe at an event? I may be coming to TTC for the October trial as a spectator and would consider volunteering, but not if I'm just going to screw things up.

Thanks.

I think if someone went over the rules with you the day of the event that you would do fine. If you tell Charlie at the ttc that you will check I'm sure he would be happy to go over the rules with you or if you look me up (Gary Garrison) I will go over them with you.

Dear Motoboy (if that is in fact your real name),
On behalf of the STRA, I would like to say, Yes, please come and join us. It would be great if you got back into the sport. The rules have changed somewhat, but for the checker, they are easy to catch up on. If you wanted to come for both days, you could watch on Saturday and check on Sunday. That would let you see the gate marking system in use. Just stop by the sign up table and tell them that you want to check. Thanks,
Ron
