James, you would fit in well with our group, and it does not hurt that you ride a Sherco either! Wink

My son Ian leases a nice tract of prime trials riding property 3 miles east of I-75 on Ga. Hwy 20, just 20 minutes north of I-285. We welcome any and all trials riders to the property. We started the AATR in January, and had just one meeting that same month of this year. We had 13 at the meeting, and made some plans, but nothing much has happened since then. We had one fun trial in the early spring, but due to drizzly weather only 8 riders showed up. The 8 of us that were there had a blast, and the ironic thing about that day was the 15 spectators!

We have sections all over the place up at Ian's acreage, and have hosted three STRA Championship events there, and also Ray Peters hosted a trials school there in 2001. The terrain is varied, easy to extreme. There is riding there for my 5 year old grandson to enjoy on his Suzuki JR 50, and on the other end of the spectrum are challenging sections that have gotten dabs from some of America's best, like Chris Florin, David Chavez, Wil Ibsen, Paul Crowder...

We hope to get the area's riders back together for some riding here during the off season, and we want to host a New Years Day fun trial Monday January 1st. If we get enough interest, we would like to have a cookout of some kind, like chili or beef stew and cornbread, some kind of hot fare to enjoy after we ride, along with some fellowship and laughs.

Our original plan was to have the south Atlanta riders host a fun trial at Newnan or Carrolton, or maybe Ron's place at Whitesburg, and then have another up here, and maybe one more up in Clayton at Clay's place.

All this can happen if we can do some planning and communication.

If we do nothing else, we can get together whenever up at Ian's property and practice; Lord knows I really need alot of that!

...alright, James. We will see who else responds to the invitation. At a later date we can do some planning. We need to get up there and blow some leaves out of the sections and then install some splits. We have some time left, and I hope to ride there myself within the next couple of weeks.

Ian and Josh and I , my grandsons, the Ibsens and anyone else that can get away will be at Ian's property December the 26th. We will be getting a little work done but most importantly much riding and some fellowship too. We will be out there by 8:00 am Tuesday, boxing day for you Canadians.

If you need some directios, or info. on where to LEGALLY park, please ask. Hope to see some of y'all the day after Jesus' birthday here in C'ville!
