If you would be willing to be involved in activating a Ga. club, chime in here, and we will see what can be done to make this long overdue group get a little more organized.

I'm game. I have some thoughts on this I shared with Ian and Rick.

Are you thinking the entire state of GA? I was thinking something more regional - like Cartersville or N. Ga, but we should see what interest is out there. I agree it is long overdue.

I'm for it,,,but unfortunetly my time is very limited. Looks like my riding days will be limited and just riding close to home (Ga.) sounds beter and betterSmile

I initially had the title of this post N. Ga. club, but I did not want to exclude anyone, and have the hassle of having borders.

If "we" are really interested, we should schedule a meeting and roll up our sleeves. We have an awesome home base in Ian's property. I will help all that I am able to, even volunteer to help organize. We have a N. Ga. family club already, we would just like to make this group more official... legitimate if you will.

I will set up a meeting if there is sufficient interest, Sunday before last there were 9 of us up there, and 2 others the day before.

Before someone asks, no, you need not ride a Sherco to join this group. Wink

Random thoughts not in any order of importance:
I don’t know if I am interested or not. Maybe!!
I don’t really know the purpose of a club but I would attend a meeting to check it out. Cartersville is a couple of hours for me but that’s ok too.
I may be more middle Georgia than north.
Current GasGas 300 unit is for sale so I may be trialsbikeless soon.
Slim likelihood that next unit will be a Sherco
(might have valves and cams though and be blue) is that ok?
Occasionally talk to folks from North Georgia
(Seems like they like me but maybe just being polite)

I want to schedule a ride/meeting to talk about creating a Georgia club.

I did not want any of you to take it personal about the Sherco bit, it just happens that all of the regular riders at Ian's property choose that particular brand. Three weekends ago, we had nine riders up there, and all were Sherco mounted, just happens that way sometimes!

I will try to get Randy or Darrell to attend, so they can explain to us how they got to where they are now, and hopefully save us some time getting our club established.

I would like to think of us as generally a polite bunch, though.

Having the US Beta importer and his family join the club would be great! We don't mind where you live, or what you ride... we just want to grow the STRA, and this seems to be the best way to accomplish that goal. Ian will offer his venue to anyone that would like to promote a vintage round as well.

Jeff

Count me in. Short distances to local events could be a real plus for those that can't drive to a regional event.

Enjoyed the ride the other day. It was nice to see the harder sections get used.

Keep me in the loop

You know it, Clay. Just peek in here from time to time.

Thank you again for the royal treatment last Thursday. Glad we did not wait another day, the weather turned alright! Your home and property are awesome, your family is beautiful, you are truly blessed.

I know this is short notice, but Ian Josh and I will be attending the C.T.C. meeting this coming Monday night in Jasper at the Western Sizzlin' to get ideas for streamlining the start of a Georgia club. If you would be interested in riding with us from Cartersville, contact me. We will have room for two additional passengers. I would like to leave Cartersville by 6:00pm, their meeting starts at 6:00pm CST after a meal.
