Hey ya'll, we had a fun time at TTC last Saturday (8/12) at the CTC trial. 18 riders, weather was not too hot and all the sections were along the Sawmill creek. They were all so close together you could hear Darryl yelling from one end of the loop to the other. I sweated about a gallon, but it was fun. Randy sweated 2 gallons, but he has a larger tank and anyway he still beat me. We had several new riders doing their first trial.
Sam come home, we miss you! Looks like the Knoxville gang is gonna put on a fun trial around Sept. 2 or 3. Good to see some trials get going over there, and I know they have some good riding ground. Alan, how was the Camelot trial last weekend? Sorry we didn't get over there for it. I think next year we need to put together a few rounds in Clarksville/Sequatchie/Knoxville and have a state championship. Just with our usual low key, group heckling, er I mean group scoring way. Even if it was just one at each place, and we could still have our local CTC series. regards, dan |

We had a pretty good day as well.
9 Sherco Riders,,,, (it was kind of interesting when we all walked back to our bikes) and one stray TY 250 snuck in there. It went pretty well I thought, we had sections, but a lot of it was just kind of an open play day, which I believe suited everyone there just fine. The ribbon marking of gates went well I think, and let plenty of creative line making go on. It was also very easy to mark and I kept the gates to an absolute minimum. I think it worked excellent for an event with this attitude, but think it would not work so well when people were "serious" about the event. Somewhere towards the end of the day, Jessie said, hey! Lets go to the bottom of Floyd's hill and climb up! Yeah! Good idea! Bragging rights, I made it first,,,,,, Jessie made it eventually I did a poor job picking that weekend, as there was also a MITA event going on as well as the CTC. I had looked at my calendar and just had a big blank spot so stuck it in there, and I think others did the same. As I look at the calendar, the map, and the gas prices, a TN round of events sounds better and better. The twins are just two of the many reasons I love our club! ...perhaps Hontessa is the triplet, they were "separated at birth"! ...I Corinthians 1:18 NKJV |

All I can think of is Dandy the time Dean rode with him.
I think I was on the back half of the loop at Newnan and all I could hear coming across the pond was "Dean, Slow down Deannnnnnnnnn" Alan Bechard Clarksville,TN 931-551-8129 Home 931-801-7921 Cell, weekends and evening please. trialsalan at wildblue.net |

It would be great to include Crossville, maybe the team crash n burn could be motivated to show up. Some of Fuzz's sections were epic, legendary even. And Charlie's recollections of them get better with age, as he is not one to let simple facts get in the way of a good story!
I seem to recall the stealth log section, Pizza belly, the never ending rock pile, the waterfall, Art's sidecar, bike-eating mud bogs, and some great last place t-shirts! dan |
