Yep, Its another harescramble/enduro guy thats knocked off way to much bark. My shoulders have had enough for awhile. The last tree I brushed, a mental picture of a Trials bike came into mind.
Then the other day , Low and behold, a guy needed a bronco top that I had and wanted to trade a mint 1973 Honda TL 125 for the bronco top. So how could I resist, Was it Fate and just meant to be ? Or did Santa finally remember the bike I begged for back in 73' ? Maybe a little of both.
But any way here I am. I live in Milledgeville,GA - 46yrs old and I'm looking for anybody or trying to find some people close by thats riding vintage or modern. Any of you guys ride at Durhamtown ? I've seen a couple of modern trials out on the trails but when I get a chance to stop and check ya'll out you just disappear. I've been reading some of the posts and noticed most everybody lives around atlanta, N.Ga, or west Ga, Was there a ban on trials in Middle ga that I didn't get the memo on ? Let me know if your close by, I've got land we could use, or I know Mike at Durhamtown pretty good - Distant cousin - And he would probably be glad to set up a section/Area. I noticed that some of the red trails there would make some good trials sections, plenty of rocks /logs, creeks etc....

Let me hear from ya if I can join a ride with U'ins and get a feel for what its all about.

Welcome to our family. I think D town would be a great venue!!!!!!!! Good location and plenty of terrain. Seems like there was an issue with us riding off the trails or something like that. See what you can find out and maybe we can get a group together and go. It would be great publicity as well. For those of you not familiar, they have over 100,000 riders come to ride every year.

The riding off marked trails issue is a big deal at any riding area. Thats why Towncreek got closed down.

But ,,,, We can get Mike to build a area for Trials riding only. Theres plenty of areas to do that there. You guys would have to show Mike about the sport and how much space you need for a Loop and what kinda terrain you need. I don't know anything about the sport " YET". Just limited knowledge of how things are set up. So I'm not able to tell mike what you need. But Mikes usually ready to try what ever you throw at him. You just have to do it in the right way. http://www.durhamtown.com

I live in Milledgeville, ga , and theres a Huge Rock Crawling place here in town on the river. Its called River Rock ORV. That riding area would be more oriented to the kinda riding ya'll are used to. It has Massive Rocks everywhere, Theres rolling hills everywhere. Big Gullys with rock bottoms, etc.... Lots of Big trees laid down with big logs etc.... It has Natural Rock croppings and rocks that where added. That would make a good event area for one of ya'lls sanctioned events.
I know the guy that owns that place also.

I'm ready to just get into this sport though, So anyone that wants to go to Durhamtown, or maybe try river rock, STeve would let us ride just to try the place out ... ? Or anywhere else thats not to far for me to get there. Let me know.
