Thanks DD. I enjoy doing the writeups and will keep on as long as you will have me. It is fun to try to put down on paper a discription of all the fun we have riding and hanging with all the great people in the club. Thanks to you and all the officers who do alot of stuff needed to keep the club going. We have got to get riders back to the events for 2012 and I hope everyone can make it to at least half the events this year. It takes alot of work to lay out an event and then stage it and promotors will become more scarce if few take the time to show up at least one day. I know things are tight with the economy and jobs right now but things will get better and we cannot let the STRA become a remember when memory. Looking forward to a great 2012 and merry Christmas to all. Jamie.

Jamie shared a potential suggestion for the 2012 schedule. Would folks be more likely to ride a 5 weekend/10 round series than the 6 weekend/12 round series we had in 2011?

Would this drive up the attendance at each event?

What are your thoughts? Feedback and responses will help shape the schedule.

I think that a 10 series would help in many ways like checkers and you would need to attend most of the events if we leave it at 6+1 format
for championship points also what would it take for YOU the members to ride more Post here we need to know what are some issues that trials riders faced in the past not coming to events
and how we can build more membership in 2012

PS Jamie You did a fantastic job in 2011 enjoyed the write ups Thank You

Randy asked the big question that I agree is at the top of the list for the STRA: what would it take for YOU to make it to more events?

One suggestion is that more riders hook up and 'carpool' to events. Not only does it reduce the travel expense, it makes the drive a lot more enjoyable and I bet you learn something new about your fellow club members.

Personally, nothing but more available time is going to get me to more events. After each year's annual meeting, I go home and write the dates of all the events on my annual calendar, planning to show up and work or ride at each one. But life tends to get in the way of even the best laid plans, and this year, I barely got to attend enough events to get any real points accumulated. Carpooling is a great concept, but I rarely see it implemented. For some people, inclement weather is a deal breaker. For others, it's the simultaneous broadcast of any game having to do with their alma mater. And that's precisely why I didn't go to college. Nudge, wink. And for the record, I am in favor of more events, not fewer.
