Here are the highlights of discussions and rule changes from the STRA Business Meeting...

2008 Officers:
President - Brock Sattelmeier
VP - Rick Welton
Sec/Treas - Darrell Davis
Competition Director - Brian Robison
Sporting Stewards - Gary Garrison & Jeff Geisen
Youth Competition - Ian Geisen

The Sporting Stewards will include the severity of the loop when inspecting events in order to ensure the trail can be ridden by the Novice competitors.

Entry fee maximum was increased from $25 to $30.

Promoters were again encouraged to follow the starting time guidelines of 1 PM EST for Saturday events and 10 AM local time for Sunday events in 2008.

Associate members (those who sign up for a $5 "daily" STRA membership) do not receive championship points. Only full/family STRA members receive championship points.

When the handlebar touches the ground, the motorcycle must be less than 45 degrees from vertical before the ride is scored a 'failure'/5.

All STRA events will offer both modern and vintage lines/classes. Vintage classes will be scored under the modern rules (i.e. stopping is allowed, a foot down while stopped = 1 point, etc.). Vintage C will ride the Novice line, Vintage B the Intermediate and Vintage A the Sportsman line.

The complete updated 2008 rules will be posted soon.
