Rear Brake Hose Installation

Hello everyone,

I recently had to replace my Rear Brake Hose since some barb-wire got sucked up into the wheel & mangled the original brake hose at the rear axle location.

After ordering a new rear brake hose, I installed it accordingly without any problems. The fit-up went well. The only problem that I now have is that I cannot get any brake fluid into the system at all. I believe I tried everything: filling up the top end reservoir and trying to suck it down at the fitting located near the rear axle/brake-pad assy. using a Mighty Vac. I tried pushing brake fluid into the same fitting with a syringe with no luck there either.

Am I missing something? I replaced the front brake hose last year without any problem whatsoever.

This rear brake hose has me stymied.

Any good ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Doug

...check that - I set the front wheel up on my truck's tailgate to exploit gravity. Bleed out at the bottom was perfect. Bike is up & running with strong rear brake power now.
