The ribbon is still up from the vintage trial. Some of us are discussing returning this weekend to play ride. Those I have talked with are about 50/50 on going. If a crew decides to go I might go as well, though I'll have to try and find a loaner bike to ride. My cub is getting serviced right now and won't be ready for a short while I think.

Just thought I'd give a heads up.

Not sure which day yet. I've talked to a few vintage riders who are all now sounding a little iffy on going.

Harry, bummer about the husky. hope it is nothing too bad $$$

I've called Gene to see if he's still into going... by Friday afternoon I should know more about who is into doing it. I think Curt would like to test his Bultaco if he can go, Morgan sounded iffy on going with whatever vintage bike he would ride and Ben is looking to get some more trials time in. Also Peggy was considering.

I think Sunday would be the better day. but I still would need to find a bike to ride so who am I to say... maybe I'll just take a black magic marker and alter the section splits to send you guys into chaos. more later...

Sorry to say but I guess I'm not going to make Aonia tomorrow. Potential rain, the hour & a half ride each way & the unknown of if the trails will be open to motorcycles as it seemed to be that there was going to be some sort of horse ride there today & Sunday.

I'm also out for next weekend as a work related interuption requires that I be back in Asheville next Sunday afternoon.

I just logged into the Aonia message board but can't find any annoucements about it, but I think I remember hearing that they close the trails sometimes like Harry said. I guess I could try to call first thing in the morning...

Horse news:

I called the hotline 706-678-3737 and it said the trails are open.

I spoke with Gene and he says the horse ride was a few weeks ago when they were recently (they got to ride anyway as the horses were leaving when they got there)
