Chad, Glen and all the r est of you guys,
I have been talking with Don Wilburn who owns Carolina Adventure World. He wants to get a group of Trials riders to come to his place and have a look around. He is VERY interested in setting up some trials sections, attracting trials riders, and MAYBE in the future if all goes well, host an event!
What ya'll think??
Let me know.
Also, if things work out Matthew may get back into riding trials soon, we hope.
He has grown a lot, Chad, you would not recognize him!

Gordon,
Don is very interested in a group of guys coming for a visit to Carolina Adventure World.
And I'm sure he would prefer as soon as possible.
He explained many areas that he thought would work well for trials sections including boulders, and other cool stuff. Don Wilburn really wants to have a premier atv and motorcycle riding facility.
He has just finished a new huge cross country course and an ATV Drag Strip.
Don seems to be a highly motivated man!

Don can be reached at:

His e-mail is down but he can be e-mailed at JPhelps@carolinaadventureworld.net

Have you guys checked it out yet? If not let me know when you are going down. I'm riding a bunch of trials this year but Fridays work best for me if that is possible if you are going to ride it..... Like Gordon said, I think the Charlotte area Trials following is picking up quick with hairscramble rider interest......

To the guys who live south of Charlotte, have you checked out TNT motorsports park? It shows they have a trials area on their map of the park. http://tntmotorsportsinc.com/?page_id=47

Metrolina would be willing to cater to a event at CAW or TNT. Metrolina is going to have a event at Brushy Mountain Motorsports http://www.bmmspark.com park in Taylorsville, NC later this year in October.

Also there is some other hair scramble areas that I need to check out also in Morganton, NC and Wilkesboro, NC for Metrolina events next year, let me know if you are interested in going later this year to check them out.....

With the exception of Monroe, all of the Metrolina events this year are just 1 day events but next year the goal is to have 2-day events.

Ryan I am trying to get a few riders to plan a visit to CAW & I would be willing to meet with you on a Friday ( not tomorrow (Easter!) I have not yet talked to Don but feel free to set up a Friday visit for us. From that, we can at least determine how we should go foreward .I know some guys who have been there (on 4 wheelers) & I do think there would be Trials friendly areas . Several of us ride at TNT and it has some Trials areas already, the owner is very willing to "construct whatever we need" Be glad to meet with you there also. Cheers Gordon
