That looks pretty cool. I would want something with a lower center of gravity(I think?). But blasting the sand roads would be fun.

I might go check this out next weekend.

Hey guys, I've competed in the rally twice in my car and won my class both times. I had intentions of racing my bike last year but had a death in the family the weekend of the rally. Check out www.nasaraallysport.com for more info. Also in May we do a tarmac rally in west Tn. that will include the Rallymoto class. As for this coming weekend, God willing and the creek don't rise, I'll be there on the old TTC DRZ400.

Nevermind, I just looked at the date, and its on saturday. Confused I was getting pumped up about riding, even with $250 entry fee.

I might go spectate on Saturday. Randy I'll be looking for you! Who knows maybe next time I'll be an "also-ran". My bike is a totally street stock DR650SE so probably not competitive plus I'm kind of chicken. But looking at the pics of the big BMW's in the ruts you have to wonder...

I'll write back if I go about what's up.

John, last night at practice at our local track I broke an "accessory bone" near the ball of my right foot. Not sure what that bone is or does but it feels like a very bad stone bruise, also I have total numbness in my big toe which may be a blessing. I drug my foot under the peg, a DRZ's pegs obviously are lower than my RM's. Probably shouldn't been shakeing down a 300 lb bike on a MX track. I'll be seeing a podiatrist in the morning, if he OK's it I'll still have a go Sat. Plans are to be in Cheraw around 7. I'm camping in the Wal-Mart parking lot by the high school in my blue box van that I bring to the trials. If you see it, look me up, if not I'm at home with my foot on ice.

p.s. volunteer as a worker and you'll get really involved and up close. Tell Anders that I sent you. He's the Swedish looking guy with a yankee accent that organizes the event, can't miss him.
