Rick Trimble, who was struck by the boulder on Saturday is doing amazingly well. He is beat up and will have to go see the Dentist but as of Sunday he was up and about and doing better than anyone would have expected!

That is great news. I witnessed both accendets,
the bolder rolling down the hill was terrible!
From what I saw it looked very bad!
I was hoping that the minder that knocked the rock loose would have checked on Rick,,,but guess not!

The injured Observer is Barry Langford. He was transported to Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga, checked out and later released. The good news is no broken bones, although he is “sore and beat up”.

I am also so thankful that Rick Tremble came through the tumbling bolder incident as well as he did and wish him a complete and speedy recovery.

Both accidents were horrific.

Hi Curt -

It blew Rick away that you took time to call him! He never realizes how many friends he has and this accident has him down physically and bummed emotionally. Your call and those of several others have picked him up HIGH! Our little Junior rider Blake (can't remember his last name! from Jackson, TN) and hisdad called and that really touched him too. This Trials group is just SO VERY SPECIAL. Thank you for caring about us! God bless you and yours, lynda

You are loved!!!!

I have been e-mailing back and forth with Lynda Trimble regarding Rick's recovery. I offer the following e-mail, with approval from Lynda Trimble:
Thanks for asking about Rick. He had a banner day today ... the swelling has gone down so much i can hardly believe it! He has always been a fast healer, but his doctor is going to faint tomorrow when we get there for a check-up! I took him there after he had a semi-blackout event Monday morning. It was all so strange; Sunday right after the incident, he seemed sore but basically okay; then stuff started swelling and by Monday morning, he was a mess. As of now, however, his forehead swelling is down to a knot about the size of a ping pong ball on right side; his eyesight is clear (had been affected by a large bubble that had formed in the inside corner of his eyelid, but it's gone now); his lip stitches have healed about 75%; we go to the dentist tomorrow and find out what can be done about the four teeth he lost (broke off at the gum line); a 5th one is very loose and he doesn't know if he can save it or not.

He has been extremely sore all over his body, presumably from the tumble down the hill after the impact; a friend called and said he saw the rock hit Rick squarely in the side of the head ... he cannot believe that he is alive; and he has not one broken bone!! Tough ole bird, huh? I believe in miracles and i guarantee you, RICKEY IS A MIRACLE; i'm praising God for His intervention to minimize the injuries and to prevent any permanent damage. We just spoke to a friend whose brother just slipped on their DECK the other day, hit his head and is paralyzed! Think what Rick's body experienced, and he is an obvious miracle.

Thanks for inquiring; pass on to everyone how MUCH it has meant for them to call and come by and send notes. We are so blessed with QUALITY friends!

Second message from Lynda:
I have a number of notes i need to write and just can't seem to get to it. Rick is doing GREAT today! He heals so rapidly. At least ... physically; he is still a little "wobbly" but the doctor said to expect that for another week or so. Thanks for inquiring.
